Wound up in Wexford

They're flowering

The gladioli in the corner bed are starting to flower.  It's looking really great.

First thing, we carried out of the garage the curved supports that W has been constructing for the polytunnel, and were then able to move the car into the garage to charge it up.  It was a lovely sunny day.  I got two loads washed and dried.  The weather was even settled enough to risk leaving it on the line whilst we popped into New Ross to get some DIY supplies.  Our little Zoe was quite laden with cement, sand, gravel and a concrete post.

One of the jobs the electrician had tackled whilst I've been away was to prepare the ground for our new electric fire in the lounge.  Before making final decisions on how it's mounted, we needed to check out how hot it got behind - the answer was "not at all", so now we can decide how to mount it in the fireplace.

In the evening the weather really took a turn for the worse, rain and wind overnight - hope the glads are still standing!
