Another One Bites The Dust

About ten years ago or so, the centre of Northampton must have had 30 or so reasonable clothes shops. Now, I can think of only three. The latest to fall was NEXT, which was trading normally then rapidly closed almost overnight, leaving only the fallen.

Often the only way to have a range of clothes to choose from these days, is to buy online, which I am happy to do. However, the annoyance factor soon kicks in when the clothes delivered to your door are unsuitable and have to be returned. Last week I purchased a dress online from Boden, more expensive than I'd usually pay but it looked ideal and Boden have a great reputation for quality. When it arrived it was so big I could have used it as a tent, plus the fabric was heavier and darker than it looked on screen. So, a fun time repackaging, labelling and queuing in the post office to return it (they did refund very quickly).
