Back Yard Blooms

I have not been far today as I decided I should really do some of the things I needed to get done at home. I have done some decluttering - much stuff has been sorted for charity, recycle, shred-then-recycle or bin!

At one point I looked out of the window and noticed our shed door was wide open! This alarmed me as it is always kept locked. I phoned Brian in a panic but he remembered that he may not have locked it back up at the weekend. I checked and he hadn't!

I took a quick photo of one of the hanging baskets and it turned out to be the only shot I took today so has to be my Blip offering!

Today's weather has felt quite autumnal - much cooler and very windy. It stayed dry until this evening though...I have only been as far as the post office and have since realised I have sent the wrong thing! Ooops! I've been in touch with the recipient and will send the genuine article tomorrow!

I have started packing for Magic Weekend. I don't really need much - just a change of underwear and shirt. It won't be like other Magic weekends with sight-seeing, meals out, hotel breakfasts etc. Brian could not get time off for a longer stay, and we are imposing ourselves on Grace and Sophia rather than booking a hotel.

We learnt last night that this will not be the last ever Magic weekend as we had feared it would. It will continue and hopefully go back to being in neutral places rather than a place that is a RL town/city. It works out fine for us  that it is this time as it is where Grace lives. It probably would have been Newcastle again but St James' Park is having work done apparently - seems weird since the football season also starts this weekend. Magic is not usually during the football season! But the games will be at Elland Road in Leeds which is also a football ground...
