There was an Octopus free energy hour today where you only pay for the energy you would normally use during that hour. Any extra electricity used is free. So between 1.00 and 2.00pm I had the washing machine and dishwasher on, baked a cake, did the ironing and the hoovering and made a cup of coffee. It's amazing how much you can achieve in an hour if you set your mind to it! I'll be interested to see what my refund will be.
