Buon Ferragosto!

Ferragosto (Feriae Augusti, Augustus' rest, Emperor) is a holiday of Roman origin (it fell on the first day of August, but today it coincides with the religious feast of the Assumption), celebrated throughout Italy. It is the day of trips out of town, in search of fresh air, and grilled meat.

In Roman times, the end of agricultural work and the subsequent rest were celebrated, and even today, in popular culture, it is the most representative day of summer holidays.
