We popped over to our sons’ house today, to do some final tidying up of their garden after demolishing an old wooden store (it didn’t take much effort as it was rotten). They’re getting solar panels in a few weeks’ time and needed it cleared before the scaffolding goes up. We dropped it all off at the tip on the way home, because Elder Son R has a very small car and Younger Son D has a scooter, so they can’t transport much stuff at once. The staff at the tip appear to be much more aware of the importance of recycling than some of the people who use the tip, as they were giving away unopened household goods - this is what we were presented with!
