Paths and Burrows

Or the Beatrice Potter version of Snakes and Ladders. We've visited Auntie Mary today. It was an interminable journey beginning with local roadworks then congestion through the Aire Valley and red traffic lights all through Bradford. For once we were quite glad to reach the M62 and we were certainly happy to reach Mary's.

Fun and games ensued then we returned home the longer, but pleasanter route via Harewood and Otley, stopping at Waitrose's for lunch and a bit of shopping.

It being a wet day the remainder of it has passed in games and a bit of Gladiators on the TV.  Euan had a crazy FaceTime with his Mum and Dad prior to bath and then had laughed uproariously at the silly words in his new reading book.  Now heading towards sleep. I may reach there before him!
