CHERRIES
I was fast asleep at 5.15am when I was woken up by Lily crying all around the bedroom. Jumping on different things and generally being a pest. No idea what was up. Eventually she wandered back downstairs and all was quiet. However she had woken Tino so he came upstairs and settled down beside me on the bed. Nice to have his ( quiet ) company. Luckily I was able to get back to sleep easily.
Spent most of the day at home. Did a load of washing which got hung in the utility room as it was raining. Then I set about making some coconut meringues for " Taster Night " at my slimming group. I tend to make these for every Taster Night. They came out OK. The recipe is for 30 and with this amount there are usually a few left over which I " have " to eat myself. So today I only made 15... and they were all eaten in group.
The rain had stopped by the time I walked to slimming group. There were 14 members who stayed tonight after " weigh in ". ( 3 were visitors from another nearby group.) I lost one pound this evening..... I had hoped for more but at least its a loss. There was a good selection of food on offer - including savoury rice, pasta, curry, chilli, chicken, roast potatoes, boiled eggs, cheesecake, blueberry muffins ... and my meringues.
We had to vote for our Woman Of The Year. There were 6 nominees - including me - and we all had to say a little bit about our " Slimming World Journey ". Brenda was voted as the winner. ( 6 years ago to the day I was voted Woman of the Year in group - it came up in my Facebook memories )
I had a nice bowl of cherries this afternoon as a healthy snack and had a bit of fun processing my shot for the Abstract Challenge - the theme is 'having abstract fun' . Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting
