From Borneo
Into school this morning for ten past seven to see the A-Level students. Some pleased, most having got what they needed for their next steps and just a few tears. I was greeting on the front gate and it was actually quite chilly. Caught up with my friend and colleague who went on an expedition with students in the last two weeks of term (plus two weeks of her holiday). Having joked that I wanted her to bring me back a baby orang-utan, she had brought me this little fella who is now sitting on my desk.
I did some office sorting and a couple of other jobs before heading home to Bailey. And then out for tea with the favourite people in their very lovely new van. Pub tea was aborted in favour of fish and chips back at theirs. It was good to catch up and make a plan for Saturday.
