Breakfast
Breakfast with the Red Kites. I am so pleased that we do not have red kites where we live (yet). They are the most successful "saved species" with a long running reintroduction programme. Birds from Wales, spain and sweden have been strategically places in Oxfordshire (i think) and somewhere in central Scotland. They have multiplied at an alarming rate. They are not nice neighbours and that may have something to do with their previous near extinction! They make the most tedious screaming noise.......all the time!
My other close run option today was this Indian chestnut tree flower. Absolutely beautiful, with a heavenly scent and to date showing no sign of the ghastly disease our native species is struggling with.
