Sun rain and wind
Two hares entertained the pack of collie dogs I trotted through the surrounding countryside with first thing, Reggie managed to lose his collar (and contact details ) Dippy bounced along stopping every few minutes to check that I was still there. Bella truly believed that the hares were catchable, the hares knew differently!
Said cheerio to another batch of Lundy lambs. Happy farewells were made to those campers who were heading back to reality after their Treyhill adventures. Preparing the Barn for the upcoming wedding was the next priority and I was pleased with the all round efforts and results of everyone involved. A photo was sent to the bride and groom who were more than happy with the progress so far.
I donated my virtually brand new orthopaedic bed and mattress to Henry who has been sleeping on a mattress in the floor for a long time. It would have deteriorated if stored where it was over the winter period. The resultant space was extended, cleaned and is now a great bike storage facility with plenty of room for a maintenance area.
Three groups of glampers arrived at the same time in a very damp and windy period, all were eventually happily settled in with fire pits at the ready. I popped a large Pyrex dish full of new potatoes from the garden in the aga and helped a group get their fire going before enticing a four legged bacon factory back into its enclosure.
A small group of us walked down to the sunset viewing meadow with Dippy in tow before heading back along the boundary track and home for a shower and Zzzzzs
