Is Gare du Nord really in Paris?

We left our Paris accommodation this morning via Uber to catch the Eurostar to St Pancras. After a series of ticket verification processes, security, French border control then UK border control we entered the waiting area at Gare du Nord. My sweet anticipation of a delicious croissant and coffee was dashed by a very Brit like stale croissant and maybe the worst cup of coffee I can remember. Very disappointing.
A few hours later we rolled up at Dave’s for wonderful hospitality, delicious cups of tea and a lovely rendezvous with Claire.
