Green glug jug finds new home

This green glug jug is now installed in its new home. This is a corner of the kitchen in the barn conversion at the far end of my middle sister's garden. She and my brother-in-law (Paddy and Ailish's parents) have spent the past few months rebuilding the barn so that it can be let as holiday accommodation.

Mr hazelh and I are also now installed and road-testing the new facilities here tonight. Meanwhile Mummy hazelh is in Ailish's bedroom in the main house.

We had been dreading our journey south, but apart from slow motorway traffic in places on the M1 and M25, it went well. Mr hazelh drove the whole way.

We left the house in Edinburgh at 07:10, scooped up Mummy hazelh at the Lindisfarne Inn at 09:00, and arrived at our destination at 17:40. We stopped twice along the way: at Morrisons in Boroughbridge for petrol (much cheaper than on the almost adjacent motorway), and at Leicester Forest East service station to eat our sandwiches on picnic benches.

Our main in-car entertainment comprised old episodes of The rest is history on the birth of railways, JRR Tolkien, The lord of the rings, and George Orwell.

Exercise today: none.
