The One And Only

……… I used to have lots of these beautiful pink poppies in the garden. They first appeared in the cracks of the patio. I really liked them but would rather they were in the flowerbed, so I diligently collected seeds and scattered them in the borders. Over subsequent years I have had the odd one or two pop up in the border or nearby pots but never the same amount as first grew in the patio. Every year I collect the seeds and scatter them but numbers have reduced each time and this is the only one to show its face this year.
I’m obviously doing something wrong or they just don’t like my conditions in the garden which a shame as I really like them ……. ah well, such is life :-/
