Paws Patrol At The Botanic Gardens
Today has been a very busy day.
I did manage to spend some time walking around the RBGE and came across this cat near the Beech Hedge. He/she had gathered quite a crowd as he/she listened and tried to locate the little rodent who was hiding in the bed.
Despite the spectators the concentration of the feline hunter was unaffected, and the little rodent was not uncovered.
The weather today was quite wet and windy. After delivering Pat to the Scottish Arts Club I then drove to the gardens and took the opportunity of a dry interval to walk around the gardens.
After a return to the SAC to meet Pat, we drove back to the RBGE for lunch with our friend Isolde who is visiting from Germany.
Isolde’s relatives live nearby the Gardens and we walked through the gardens to meet up with Annette, Roland, Clara, Max and friends for ‘afternoon tea’.
I then walked back through the gardens to collect our car and then drive to Chateau Baumann and find a parking space.
Pat had made a celebration cake and we had an enjoyable few hours exchanging news.
We have known Annette for many years. Introduced to by ‘Herr Doktor’ she arrived from Germany as a Design Student to gain work experience.
Annette met and married Roland. In due course, Clara and Max were born. Primary School flashed by and they are now studying at Trinity Academy.
After a very full afternoon tea which stretched into the evening, Pat and I drove home, though fairly miserable weather.
I do wonder if Paws Patrol succeeded. I suspect not.
