Sunflower Serenade

It's August, and there are corn and sunflowers EVERYWHERE. And I am making plans to go to the fair, hip hip, hooray! This is a shot of a sunflower in a neighbor's yard. They have a mini pollinator garden out front, small but well appointed. As I arrived with camera, a monarch also showed up and sat on their pollinator garden sign, which made me giggle. (Sorry, no shot of that, but here's a bee on a sunflower instead.)

Notable passings: Jack Russell, lead singer of the 80s rock band Great White. Here is one of the best Led Zep covers I've ever heard, and I think you'll agree: Great White, with Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You. Go well, sir!

P.S. If you don't own ANY Great White, I recommend their 2001 Greatest Hits album. It has ALL the good stuff!
