The garage has dominated my day. After four years of living this side of Derby I've swapped to the local garage, recommended by everyone I've spoken to, so about time.

I found that the car key was out of battery, so I took the spare... and it worked. I got to the garage at 8.30am and walked back, then fitted a new battery to the key and walked back to the garage with it... just in case they tried the spare and it didn't work. 

Then I walked back the long way round. I had a missed call at 2.15pm but couldn't get through when I tried to return the call, so assumed it was to tell me my car was done and so I walked to the garage. No it wasn't done, it had failed and they were waiting on a part, an anti roll bar link which had completely sheared off. Soooo I walked to Tesco and then walked to the allotment as I thought I may as well water on my way home. 

Needless to say there were loads of runner beans! I gave away two lettuce and was given a bunch of sweet peas in exchange :-) Then I walked home. An hour later I got the okay and walked back to the garage to pick the car up... but it needs one tyre desperately and a second very soon. The local garage can't do that quick enough, so now I'm taking it somewhere else tomorrow lunchtime, which has meant that I've had to pull out of tomorrow's Ramblers walk :-(

What a day, and I haven't even mentioned this morning's phishing...
