We were doing sorting of photos etc this afternoon. I came across this postcard which was sent in March 1927 from Hong Kong by my paternal grandfather to my grandmother. The background appears as though it has been hand painted in watercolour. The figure is entirely made by cutting out and sticking and the clothes are made of postage stamps. It was with some Chinese postcards which I used to love looking at as a child. I don’t remember him as he died when I was 10 months’ old in 1955.
