Distraction

Much needed in a day which included a malfunctioning  church door lock  ( “ We’ll get someone to you some time this afternoon, but I can’t say what time .”  “ But I’m here on my own, so I need to lock myself in but I can’t, and if I leave I can’t lock the door behind me.” “Well, if you shut it it’ll look as though it’s locked, won’t it ? “ )
Now trying to de-stress with a big crossword and this bargain charity shop book.
