Red Hot Pokers.

Botanical name Kniphofia, but the common name Red Hot Poker suits this plant so well.
Last year we had 7 flowers this year we have 8. No sign of any flowers a couple of weeks ago and then suddenly they start shooting up.
Make a nice splash of colour at this time of year.

Another beautiful sunny summer’s day.
All bedding dried outside.
Done more dead heading.
The sweet peas are still flowering, but no runner beans yet. However the sugar snap peas are doing well.

I have put the recipe for yesterday’s Berry Lemon Pudding on as an extra.
