Good ol' Marj

Almost the only plant that has proper bees on it this week.. the marjoram is covered in real honey bees and and masses of hoverflies and one or two butterflies while most other plants are being pollinated by the bumblers.  Terrible year for butterflies still.. even the butterfly bush will have to just be called a buddleia this year as there are no butterflies even on it. 
Overheard my horrible developer neighbour talking loudly to an estate agent today as a couple had a look around the house. I then heard him telling them lies about the parking arrangements.. I don't like liars.
I have started knitting another baby hat with more of the freecycled cotton yarn and sat outside knitting until the noisy gardener at the development started using an extemely loud petrol hedge trimmer.. the smell and noise drove me inside again.
Beautiful evening out in the garden though .. and the peace of the countryside restored.
