Nana B’s Bee Cake

Back in the day, Ossian and I used to bake a honey chocolate cake for my mum that she loved. The last time we made it my mum was in the hospice.

The local horticultural fair has a new category. Honey cake. And we have a few jars of Ecodad’s delicious honey.

So, Osh and I decided to go for it today. Fair to say that we are out of practice and we seem to have created a chocolate honey lake in a big dip at the top. Nonetheless, we chatted about Nana Beryl while we were baking which was lovely and a night in the fridge might firm the chocolate up. Needs to be delivered for judging by 9.45am tomorrow but the process of making it has been the big deal.
