Weekend at Gorie
A wild day of gales and rain, the odd dry spell.
Up early, a morning puttering about the house. Finally got out walkies with Sammy at noon. Nipped down to Laura's in the afternoon, met her at the pier walking. Alan Halcrow was feeding seals. Packed up for the weekend, headed to Lerwick to catch the ferry to Bressay. Settled in, no weather for a hike, to the Maryfield bar instead.
After Jonathan Wills showing us around a couple of weeks ago, we decided to book the croft house for a weekend, sadly thw weather missed the memo. Mince and tatties for tea, fire roaring, and Jonathan left his new book to look over to proof read, exciting. Super cosy inside the house, and completely "off grid". No mains power, no signal, just proper basic living at it's best. Quick pint at the pub and check social media, before returning. Me reading over the Jonathan's new book, Gorie, Grimsetter, Bressay.
