Looking for the shade

It was too hot to walk far in the 39 degree heat but a short stroll in the Parque Natural Arribes del Duero was very nice.  Birds of the day were Griffon Vulture, Booted Eagle, Red and Black Kites, Woodchat Shrike and Iberian Magpie, with Crag Martins at the Miranda de Douro when we had a brief excursion into Portugal.  A highlight for us was an excellent view of a Scarce Swallowtail (Andy's photo in extras).
