Face to face in Leamington Spa
I've known Kath and John for some time as Chair and Secretary of the RPS Travel Group via meetings on Zoom but today was the first time I actually met them face to face.
It was a super day in that I had personal contact with people in discussions that were very positive. First of all, Kath and I went to meet Nat at Gallery Photiq in Leamington Spa to discuss the possibility of holding a Travel Group exhibition there with Nat handling all the printing, mounting and display.
After a sumptuous lunch at Bar Angeli, we drove north to meet John at the Woodland Grange Hotel which on our inspection, seems like the perfect conference venue for next year. It's right next to the River Avon.
Len and Basil came too to enjoy the superb weather although Len was really tired in the evening. Congested traffic on the A46 coming into Coventry and again at the junction where the M69 joins the M1 didn't help.
Coda: Kath and John were discussing some of the crazy things groups members brought up about accommodation and facilities at conferences. The one I remember was the man who complained that there was no toilet roll holder in the bathroom!
