Best day
Hopped onto the train to meet my pals for a wee festival blast.
Lunch at the beautifully refurbished Canopy, previously A and E at the Royal Infirmary. So clever how it’s been converted and what a lovely spot for lunch. There’s a small grab and go area which we opted for so we could sit in the sun. Poké bowls all round. Very good.
Round to McEwan Hall to Massaoke. Well, what a way for five middle aged ladies to spend a summers afternoon, singing the musicals , Greatest Showman opened them rattled through Sound of Music, JungleBook, Mary Poppins, Hamilton, Frozen, ABBA , Queen….. happy happy happy audience all singing along. If you want the ultimate cheer up, go see!
Then a wander down to Gleneagles Townhouse, a beautiful setting for a bowl of ice cream. We then went our separate ways and I headed up to the Meadows to meet my second posse. All the kids, respective partners and a picnic in the sun.
Colin Cloud was as ever mind blowing. A few tricks I’ve sussed but being able to reel off someone’s fate of north or as seen here correctly getting ‘number 36’ when he picked on my daughter,. She said it, and right brought it was on the 36th card drawn from the pack on stage. Boggled!
Everyone loved it then into Bristol Square bumping into one pal who’s managing the whole of Underbelly and then another friend’s son on a food stall, served us free steak and chips.
Just the best day

And only 29 slugs. huzzah
