Hollywood comes to Woking

I went for a personal training session at Woking Leisure Centre this afternoon and quite a large section of the car park was fenced off. Occupying that part were a number of Movie Makers trucks. I'd never thought of Woking as a film set but Charlie, who was putting me through my paces in the gym, reckoned it might have been for a sequel to The Sandman which she said had included scenes shot in Woking Town centre. I haven't seen The Sandman, which apparently was on Netflix  but I'm intrigued to know how it fitted in with this rather bland and unimaginatively redeveloped townscape. She reckoned it was filmed in the early hours of the morning so there were no issues with locals trying to muscle in on the filming. Mind you, I wonder how you get to be an extra...
