Meeting Place

Going down the steep, cobbled street to the busy market, I passed the Café du Grutli which was full of people meeting up for a chat and pre-lunch drink.
This is a historical café at the base of the wooden steps that lead up to Lausanne Cathedral which I recently posted.

I left for the market later than usual because it was pouring with rain first thing. Luckily, I still found the exact produce that was on my list.  

I love the ambience of people sitting at the outside terraces at this time of the year.

A tricky photo to take because I was on a steep slope and I wasn't centred, so we have a diagonal happening, but that's ok. It's reality!

The rain has made for a very high humidity and a heavy atmosphere.
Hopefully it will cool down tomorrow.
