Blackthorn Sloes

Back into the ‘normal’ routine of dog walking today … it is useful for tiring Oreo out so that he sleeps all day!!

Spotted these blackthorn sloes at the side of the path, but I have to say that these were the only ones I saw, despite there being masses of blossom on the hedges earlier in the year…certainly seems to be a lot less fruit than in previous years.

I know that the hedges were ‘massacred’ a couple of weeks ago, so I wonder if the sloes were destroyed too.
