Surprise!

Nancy, Liz and I decided to meet for lunch today, instead of the usual coffee.

We ended up in a dog-friendly café we'd heard about but never been to.

It was a surprise to find the ceiling decorated throughout with teddy bears, while the upper walls were plastered with posters of old films.

All around there were old-fashioned knick-knacks that would've looked at home in an antique shop.

It was fascinating! The freshly-prepared food was excellent, as were the hard-working staff. We'll definitely be back.
