Potato Harvest!

It may look rather meagre but I’m right chuffed with my potato harvest! Seeing as I only used potatoes that had sprouted in the cupboard, recycled compost and an old supermarket bag full of holes, I think they did quite well.

Made the most of the weather and spent three hours working in the garden, only 19 but felt warmer in the sunshine, though it clouded over from mid afternoon. De-headed another 200 brushes on the Bottlebrush, that’s 600 so far, and more still to go!

This evening Dad has chosen to watch Summer Holiday with Cliff Richard and Una Stubbs amongst others; a film even older than me! Incidentally, Dad used to teach with Una Stubbs’s brother and we have a pottery dish made by him.
