Purple flower - Platycodon grandiflorus

We had a lovely day visiting friends we hadn’t seen for some time. We spent some time walking around their vast garden where this pretty flower is. I was told its name something like Platypus but think l have remembered incorrectly. Just found it’s called Balloon flower or Platycodon grandiflorus.

We stayed for lunch all home grown and delicious. By the time we had finished chatting and had a cup of tea it was getting late. A great day and good to catch up. We mustn’t leave it so long next time.
