Getting Bored

Shortly after I arrived at the birdhide late this afternoon, a kingfisher flew in, made a brief call and flew off again before I could even point the camera in the right direction.  I stuck around hoping it would return, but it didn't.

Whilst waiting, there was very little action by any other birds so I ended up pointing the lens at the water surface and captured some decaying pondweed (main blip) and a pond skater (extra).
