Woke up early to an absolutely beautiful morning, but full of a cold on top of hay fever.

Thought it best to get out rather than wallow so we breakfasted locally (bit disappointing) and walked along the river to Richmond.

Took it easier this afternoon and then headed out to dinner at a friend's house to celebrate their daughter's birthday and catch up. Highlight was a blue cheesecake - right up my alley, though tastebuds aren't up to snuff.
