With clogs on
Wij hebben een geweldige dag gehad in Nederland.
Yup, a fun day was had looking at windmills, before walking through the very picturesque small city of Edam.
After the city we visited a cheese and clog making factory.
Kid you not, we stuffed our faces with many many amazing samples of different sorts of Edam, which ended up with us purchasing rather a lot.
Watching the clogs being made was so interesting and as you can see ours fit well.
In the extras, one of the ladies decided I should wear some local headgear.
Third time in the Netherlands this year.
We were meant to be sailing into Amsterdam via the North Sea canal, but had to change our route and berth further up the coast at IJmuiden.
This was because of the threat of Extinction Rebellion morons to glue themselves to the locks meaning that the locks could not be used.
Ironically, because of this it meant that more diesel was used bussing people from IJmuiden to Amsterdam and back, than if we had been able to dock in Amsterdam. Our tour guide was saying that this threat from the morons had led to cancellations, which meant less business for both the guides and the city generally.
Well done however to Ambassador Cruise line, being able to amend plans and still being able to give us a fun and enjoyable day.
I hope you have had a good Sunday.
