After yesterday’s failed trip to Grasmere I went this morning. In the car and early enough to avoid the visitors and get a parking space. So early that the gingerbread shop wasn’t open.

I found the jackdaws also out for a morning walk. I’ll blip the trees when the light is better.

I had an afternoon wander too around the streets of Ambleside. It was busy . . . I don’t think I could have found an empty table outside a pub, cafe or restaurant if I’d wanted one.
