Glowing

Phew. Day three of a blistering heat wave here in Connecticut, with temperatures forecast to soar into the 90's again today, and no relief in sight until the end of the weekend.

My VIP went back home this morning after almost a week of non-stop running and playing, talk-talk-talking, splashing, spilling, laughing, yelling, and general all around fun and mayhem. Gosh it's quiet around here now!

An early morning walk around the garden this morning before the heat becomes unbearable. I was rewarded with the sight of this lovely creature breakfasting on the purple cone flowers by the pool.
