The morning after the night before

It’s Sunday morning and Dan and Varnika are playing ‘cricket’.  They have sore heads.  Not from injuries sustained while playing this game, but from over-indulging the previous evening.

Yesterday Chris and Rose celebrated their engagement by throwing a party for about 100 people.  Rose has a very large family and she and Chris have lots of friends, the guests ranging in age from about 6 months to 88 years. 

It started at 1.00pm and was meant to finish around 5.00pm.  The last to leave - D&V and Anniemay and I - eventually wandered off at 11.20pm. 

They did virtually all the catering themselves. The extra (taken yesterday afternoon) shows the soon-to-be sisters-in-law, ‘helping' Chris in the kitchen.

I’m not going to write anymore now, because my head is a bit sore too.
