Where we were walking this afternoon with my daughter T and her family. Luckily it was reasonably cool.

This is one of the old practice ramps the allied forces used prior to the D-Day invasion. Designed to practice on and off landing craft - I thought it was quite touching to see the row of American flags which someone has placed there. Maybe a visitor who lost a family member perhaps.
