Drum Castle

A visit over to Drum Castle for us. We’ve not been before and it’s a hidden (in plain sight) gem. I think most people go to Crathes Castle just up the road.

It’s a guided tour around the castle. Our guide John was very knowledgable despite only being there one season. After a picnic we had a little wander to their walled garden. Very nice. There is also a new playground made almost exclusively from tree trunks and stumps. Kara had fun with that.

Before we left we treated ourselves to an ice lolly. Twisters all round. First one for Kara. She liked it. Of course! Not had one for years and they are as good as I remember.
