Blackberrying
This morning, continuing the theme of engaging in traditional rural pursuits, we went blackberrying on Bushfield Down, our local open space. There was plenty of fruit and, as always, we returned home with more than we had intended; in this case about 7lb. About half has been frozen while the remainder has been simmered in water and is now dripping into a bowl as it is strained though a jelly bag to be made into jelly tomorrow.
