Corn crafts

My wife is helping set up a Harvest Festival display for the local primary school. It's a Church of England school, so the display will be in St Lawrence Church. She has borrowed these examples of corn craft (not sure I'd describe them as corn dollies) from a lady she takes to church as the lady would struggle to get there without transport. They were made by the lady's late husband, Henry, and are very impressive. Apart from the fact they are made from corn, I'm not entirely sure about the connection to the harvest but they should certainly add to the display when it all comes together in  few weeks' time. .
