The ascent of Ventoux

A fabulous day. We walked up from Mont serein with thousands of other people with wine, baguettes, cheese, water, crisps, sensible shoes and flipflops! it was like a slow procession up the mountain everyone in a great friendly mood looking forward to the big day!
What excitement for us English when Christopher Froome won the stage. apparently he had to be given oxygen at the top - I am not surprise. it was a fantastic ride.
So here is Froome with 450 metres to go.
