Sunflowers

An early start and very late finish. I went up to Levington for a days sailing with sailing chum. We were at sea for the longest and furthest from the land than i have been before. We set off at 1100 and didn't get back to the Marina till 7. It might of been a bit quicker has we not been delayed by a fickle wind (t 'was always thus), having to go miles off route in order to circuit a sandbank and having to wait as 2 massive container ships left Felixstowe - one can't mess with them! The the journey home was a bit of a nightmare - 1. in the dark which I'm not very keen on, 2. parts of the A12 were shut and Waze sent me on some complicated (but effective) diversion via Colchester and, I think, Canvey Island. I didn't get home till 1100 at which point I was very tired and well past my peak. BUT it was a great day. I really enjoyed myself.

This field of sunflowers was just beside the road leading down to the Marina. So a perfect blip opportunity I thought.
