Gently down the stream

Autumnal

The reserve felt very autumnal this morning, cold and damp and a little misty with the sun struggling to break through - so I thought I'd capture some more of the wildflowers still around before they disappear for the year.

At the top of this collage is what I think is yellow pimpernel (Lysimachia nemorum), not a flower I know well.  Below, on the left is water mint (Mentha acquatica) and on the right the bane of my gardening life, hedge bindweed (Calystegia sepium).

The rest of the day's been a quiet one, apart from a little drama with the realisation that a visiting dog had left us with a few fleas.  Luckily J has cleared up after them with great efficiency so I am closing my eyes and hoping I hear no more about it ;))
Have a happy evening  xx
