Ghost Signs

Intrigued by the multitude of faded signs on the gable ends of buildings in rural France. They seem to have been preserved by accident rather than intention. 

And always a delight to see an old Maigret Citroen Traction Avant. Just outside my hotel as I was leaving (extra).
