Pain and suffering

Today, from the moment I woke up, my quads have done nothing but complain about the results of that little voice in my head that tells me to enter races.

Sitting about didn’t help. Moving about didn’t help. Pilates didn’t help. So I’ve succumbed to chemical help.

On the plus side, my Achilles hasn’t felt half as bad today as it has been. I suspect its pain might just have been drowned out by the quads pain.

Still, onwards and upwards – I’ve still got a 10k race to train for. It’s week three of my training plan now, which reminds me: I just need to remember to add this week’s workouts to my phone and zap them to my watch.
