Wound up in Wexford

Kniphofia and agapanthus

We woke to wind and rain this morning.

The rain did eventually stop, late afternoon, allowing me a quick trip outside, but it's still windy.

I spent the morning machine sewing the binding on the quilt - still have the hand stitching to do.  Then I did some sorting of the clean washing, and a little ironing.

We planted lots of agapanthus and kniphofia in the bed alongside the driveway.  Many of the agapanthus were bare root, and have only produced leaves this year.  But the ones bought growing in pots are flowering quite well, despite the less than ideal summer.  We love both these plants, and had a good display in Norfolk.  Just hope they can do OK in the somewhat damper conditions that prevail here.
