Robinson from Ard Crags

A drier afternoon than  morning gave us the opportunity to manage a short walk from Moss Force at Newlands Valley up over Knott Rigg and Ard Crags. The Heather was splendid, though the wind at times threatened to rip us bodily off the fells. 

To the left of this photo is Robinson, with High Snockrigg to the right of the foreground. The Buttermere Fells are visible in the distance. Scafell can be seen in the very far distance if you look LARGE
