Sedum - Frosted Fire.

We have lots of Sedum Spectabile around the garden, especially in the from borders, they are growing well now and developing big flower heads which will soon be turning a lovely deep red and attracting lots of bees.

This one is a bit different. Bought almost exactly 2 years ago at the Bath Soft Cheese cafe and shop. Grace bought one too.
I loved the pale variegated leaves and the paler flowers. I expected them to be a bit more mauve perhaps but I like the contrast with the more usual reds.

I made the mistake of planting it in the border originally and it became swamped by perennial geraniums. After several attempts to clear it a space I gave up and decided to remove it and put it back in a pot!

Here it is now near the kitchen door and I like it just as it is. It us called Frosted Fire

A brighter day with quite a strong wind so, after Pilates,  I got the spare beds stripped and the bedding out blowing nicely.

The family got home safely and enjoyed listening to the audio version of the Railway Children on the way.
